06–07/01/2025:
A much awaited day dawned for the sisters in our province in White, Green and Orange lists. Our own Canossian Priest Rev. Fr. Shyam Prasad played a vital role in animating the sisters through various activity method. The seminar aimed to guide the sisters on Canossian spiritual Journey, Communitarian aspect and self-discovery and keeping the divine connection strong. The sisters were engaged in reflective activities, relationships and community building. They had an opportunity to share powerful personal insights during their group activities and discussions. The seminar brought all the young sisters to feel their self-worth and inner capabilities. The seminar created a space for the sisters to explore their deep need for spiritual growth and cultivate inner peace.
The Sisters spent time with their companions and shared their joys as well as concerns in their communities and ministries. The seminar gave a transformative experience to all the participants and ended with a note of appreciation and gratitude.
08-09/01/2025:
A Seminar on the Enneagram of Personality was conducted to provide our Junior Sisters with insights into self awareness, personal growth, interpersonal relationship and understanding.
The session was facilitated by Sr. Esme D’Cunha, an expert in personality typology and personality development. It was conducted to help the sisters identify their Enneagram type and understand its influence on behaviour and relationship. It also assisted them to provide tools for development self and improving interactions with others. Each of the nine types personalities were discussed in details, focussing on their strengths, weaknesses, motivations and stress triggers. The Junior sisters found seminar highly insightful and appreciated the interactive approach. They also reported of increased self awareness and a better understanding of their behavioural patterns.
14/01/2025:
It was a day of enthusiasm and excitement, as we called on a meeting on virtual platform for our SEP members and the Commissions, in our works of charity. Around 40 sisters participated in it. The main purpose of the meeting was to bring out strategic plan for our Ministries of Charity. The meeting began with a prayer by Sr. Sushma Soren, the Councillor. Thereafter Sr. Lissy Mathew, the Provincial Superior, addressed the sisters. She shared an inspiring message on the transformative power in our ministries and its role in creating a compassionate society. She highlighted the importance of our Ministries of charity to foster better collaboration and encourage active participation in our apostolic activities.
After which they were asked to meet in their own commissions and discuss the strategies and prepare a plan. The sisters again called for a ministry wise virtual meeting. Sr. Victoria Alex, was appointed as an ad hoc secretary to note down the proceedings of meeting. In the evening at 5.30 p.m. we met again in a virtual google meet. Sr. Lissy Mathew moderated the session. Each group reported in the larger group the outcome of their discussions. After sharing of all the groups and interactions with one another, the session ended with a concluding prayer by Sr. Sunita Mao, the Vice Provincial.
31/01/2025:
It was a much awaited day for our Tertians from India Center, India South, Delegation, India North and Philippines. The Tertianship program in Queen of peace Provincial House Lucknow commenced with a solemn and grace filled beginning, marked by Prayer Service conducted by the Community at Lucknow and Celebration of the Holy Eucharist. Rev. Fr. Alwyn Madtha, the Rector of the Minor Seminary in Lucknow presided over the Mass and prayed for our Tertians and also for Vocations. The Holy Mass was concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Andrew D’Cunha and Rev. Fr. Lancy Lobo, Priests from the Catholic Diocese of Lucknow.
During the Prayer Service, a spirit filled atmosphere was felt by everyone as scriptures were read and heart touching hymns were sung. The Holy Mass that followed was a profound moment of thanksgiving and praising God Almighty.
A welcome note was addressed by Sr. Sunita Mao, the Tertian Mistress. She enumerated by giving a brief information about the Tertians through PowerPoint Presentation. She facilitated the session.
After the spiritual inauguration, the orientation session provided an opportunity for the tertians to understand more deeply the significance of their Vocation and dedication in the service of the Lord. Orientation was given by Sr. Lissy Mathew, the Provincial Superior. She emphasized on the cross road i.e. the dilemma in selecting a right path in life. This initial phase not only set a firm spiritual grandeur but also fostered a sense of belongingness among the tertians as being in another Canossian Province. As they embarked on this transformative formation and new experiences, the beginning was marked by a Spirit of understanding, trust and openness to receive God’s boundless blessings
