March 1, 2023: Seminar on Making Eco-Enzymes attended by 16 Canossian Srs & 20 staff in Canossa Retreat House, Jakarta. This is part of Divine Mercy Province commitment to ecological care. Making of Eco-Enzymes using fruit peels, molasses & water. Timely with the celebration of SMC 250th birth, the Sisters are integrating this commitment for earth re-birth through facilitating & enhancing use of natural materials.
March 7, 2023: A gift in celebration for the 250th birth of Magdalene, Sisters from community of Nurobo, NTT, Indonesian launched its pioneer & extended service for the sick and elderly from the village of Sukabitektek whose patron saint is Magdalene. The 40 participants for this health care program, guided by the Srs & staff of Bakhita Clinic will regularly meet every Tuesday for medical check up, physical exercises, nutrition & basic catechesis. The first love of Magdalene is care for the sick. May this simple gesture of St Bakhita Clinic ministering to the sick be blessed & interceded by Magdalene.
March 9, 2023: Eucharistic Celebration as opening salvo for the 250th Birth of SMC, held in the hall of Canossa Elementary School, TOFA, Kupang, Indonesia. The 250 guests include Sisters, pupils, teachers, staff, parents, lay Canossians & collaborators. Presided by Fr. Erik Fkun, the homily pointed that like prophet Job, Magdalene has lived like a prophet of her times. Her passion for God & the poor has become a beacon of hope for all until today’s times.
