SOUTH EAST INDIA DELEGATION
We have observed the international day of Persons With Disabilities in the Delegation on 3rd December 2022. The Canossian Daughters Social Service Society gathered the differently abled people from the close by villages and Panchayats. It was like a celebration for the them. We felt by this act that we listened to the words of our Mother Foundress St. Magdalene of Canossa “Walk with the time”. We collected them from their families by auto rickshaw and few of them came by themselves using the special aids and appliances such as walker, walking stick and two wheelers. We gave them opportunities to exhibit their talents. It was a wonderful message they gave us to build confidence in oneself. They were mentally challenged, handicapped and bed ridden people. This is the third year we gathered them in our center.
It was a great opportunity for us to make Jesus known and loved. Our sisters in Canossa hospital arranged medical camp for them. They could explain their sickness and express their sorrows and pain to us. We could make difference in these poor brothers and sisters of ours.
