At the scheduled time we left for the sanctuary of Our Lady of Divine Love, with a double purpose: to thank Mary for the gift of our new General Council and at the same time, to put under Her maternal gaze the steps that, together, we must take for the journey of the new sexennium of Canossian life.
After a guided tour in the most important places of this ancient sanctuary to which the Romans are very devoted, we participated in the Holy Mass presided over by His Eminence Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, brother of our Canossian sister Giovanna Re.
The Cardinal in his homily reminded us that if we want to walk the path of Magdalene and face the challenges that the Charism presents to us today, it is necessary to put ourselves at the school of Mary, who in Her active silence teaches us what it means today to be “Women of the Word” .The pilgrimage ended with the prayer of the Rosary in different languages, a rich and beautiful expression of our universal love for our dear Mother.
We thank the Lord for this opportunity.
In the afternoon we were invited to continue the work in the groups, resuming the rhythm of the chapter themes. Please, accompany us with your prayer.
Sr. Maria Izabel Ferreira.
